Leah Turner is always looking up. And why shouldn't she? Leah is on the fast track to becoming a lasting musical force in the genre of Urban Rock. Leah has been working feverishly in the studio for the past 6 months writing, mixing, and producing the finishing touches on her debut EP entitled SOLID. SOLID features participation from an endless array of Award winning producers and brilliant musicians including B Real of Cypress Hill, DJ Lethal of Limp Bizkit, Stevie J, Eddie Rap Life, Russell Ali, Tom Fletcher, and Justin Trugman. In a recent interview regarding the forthcoming EP, Leah states, "The tracks on SOLID were born from the fears, tears, and anger associated with everyday life. I put my heart and soul into every lyric and each note so people can relate to the music and know that they are not alone...." In addition to her debut EP, Leah is set to release a duet with American Idol's Elliott Yamin that will be featured on the soundtrack to the new film Sweetwater, as well as a duet with Academy Award winner Terrance Howard. Currently, Leah has the number one song, Shut Up, on a top selling soundtrack entitled Cattle Call, a National Lampoons film released on Lions Gate. The track is available on iTunes by clicking here. While her singer/songwriter talent is undeniable, Leah's live stage presence affixes an additional hard-hitting component to her artistic authenticity. Leah recently opened for the renowned band The Killers at the world famous Paramount Studios. In addition, she has performed live with 50 Cent, The Last Goodnight, Bubba Sparks, Randy Jackson and Paula Abdul just to name a few... Leah has always emphasized that her background guided her to where she is today. The singer/songwriter originally hales from Palm Springs, California and now resides in Los Angeles. While Leah embraces her West Coast upbringing, she also possesses a strong connection with the Latino community as her mother originates from Mexico and her grandfather was born in Spain. Her short but expansive career already boasts a resume that is saturated with collaborative projects between Leah and Grammy Award winning writers and producers. Some of Leah's past projects include collaborations with the likes of David Foster, Humberto Gatica, Shaun Shankel, Trey Bruce, Holly Lamar, Peter Zizzo, Andy Marvel and Chris Rojas. Leah acknowledges, "It's been an honor creating music and working with such a high caliber of Artists. They have educated me and facilitated my growth into the Artist that I am today."
