Jamie Kimmett is truly a unique singer/songwriter, blending elements of Neo-soul with contemporary sounds.. Jamie is blessed with a voice of genuine sensitivity and soulful intensity. A recent graduate of Edinburgh's Ian Tomlin School of Music, Jamie is a talented and educated musician with exceptional song writing sensibilities. In live performance, he is passionate, gritty, articulate and emotional. "I have always had a very strong relationship with music and musical instruments, reflects Jamie "I just find it very natural to express myself when holding or playing an instrument" "Growing up around music in a small unknown Scottish town with little resources, strangely has its benefits", he adds "It has given me the drive to succeed, allowed me to find myself as an Artist and remain a grounded and compassionate person" Jamie Kimmett was born and raised on the west coast of Scotland, but his most recent travels have taken him to the U.S. where his story is just beginning to unfold. Since being spotted last year by a noted Film & TV Music Company, Jamie has been working closely with a management firm in Los Angeles. He is preparing for his first E.P. release while working on various other exciting projects. The one project closest to his heart is working with The Butterfly Effect Foundation. He has written a theme song for the foundation and upcoming events called "Move the World" which is posted below.
